26th December 2018 - Calligraphy Competition
Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing. It is the design & execution of lettering with an instrument.
An Intra-class English calligraphy competition for classes BLOOMS was organized on 26th December, 18.
The basic aim was to provide a platform to bring out their latent creativity by writing beautifully as directed. Children participated with great enthusiasm & showed their skills in writing. It was a difficult task for the teachers to shortlist the winners.

26th December 2018 - E-Christmas Competition
Christmas is a festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. It is celebrated all around the world with a lot of fun and joy. Christmas trees are decorated and carols are sung to celebrate the festival. To keep up with the spirit of the festival an E- Christmas scene making competition named ‘Being Picasso- E-Christmas Scene Using MS-Paint Tools’ was organized for classes I and II on 26 December 2018 for class I students and in respective Computer Lab periods for class II students, wherein the students had to make a scene depicting Christmas using MS paint. The children made beautiful scenes which were a treat for the eyes displaying the true spirit of Christmas. It was a tough decision for the judges to decide the winners as all the students had shown a lot of creativity.

21st December 2018 - Moral Story Telling Competition- Class : Buds
To enhance the confidence and speaking skills of the students, on Friday 21-12-2018, Moral Story Telling Competition was organized for the students of class-Buds. The students narrated different moral based stories in interesting ways. These young story tellers used a variety of props to make their stories more impactful. Each story concluded with moral highlighting different values of life. Enthusiasm and passion of the students were also witnessed by the teachers and judges.

26th November 2018 - Clay Modelling Competition
A clay modeling is a great way to help children to develop imagination and spark creativity. Our school organized CLAY MODELING COMPETITION on 26.11.2018 for classes- BUDS and BLOOMS on topics –FRUITS AND VEGETABLES / MY GARDEN respectively, where in the talented kindergarteners participated enthusiastically. The children used different coloured clay with which they made fruits and vegetables and beautiful sceneries. This helped to improve their fine motor skills, imagination and also promoted a healthy spirit of competition.

26th November 2018 - Elocution Competition For Class II
In order to give a platform to our little dreamers to share their aspirations, an ELOCUTION competition on the topic “I aspire to be…” was organized. There was a prelim round in which the students were selected on the basis of their performance. The selected students from all the sections of class II participated in the final round held on 26th November 2018. The competition was judged by Ms. Palak Madan and Ms. Manpreet Kaur. The students took part with great enthusiasm and it was indeed a treat to hear them come out with their unique and fearless dreams.

19th November 2018 - Moral Story Telling Competition- Class I
“The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell how to think, but to give questions to think upon.” Brandon Sanderson
Children all over the world love listening to stories. They want to know more about their favorite characters and often try to emulate them. And if a story comes with a meaningful message, it can definitely inculcate qualities like wisdom, courage, honesty etc. To teach the value of compassion, respect, integrity and responsibility a ‘Moral Story Telling’ competition was organized for the students of class I on 19 November 2018. The students were selected based on their performances in the preliminary round. Each participant narrated a beautiful story with a moral value. The spectators enjoyed the performance of every participant as it was fun to see tiny tots narrating their favorite stories and preaching related moral values. It was really a tough decision for the judges to decide the winners as each one of them performed exquisitely.

15th November 2018 - Inter House YOGA Competition
Inter house yoga competition was conducted between all four houses of Sachdeva Global School in the SUB JUNIOR Category on 15-11-2018.. Students from classes III to VIII took part in competition with full passion and performed as well. As other competition houses announced winner at the end of the competition. 29th October 2018 - Hindi Story Telling Competition
“Story is a description, either true or imagined, of a connected series of events.”
Children love stories. It’s true!! And every child enjoys it for different reasons-be it travelling to magical worlds, morals of life, learning new concepts, going on adventures etc.
With stories, the possibilities are truly limitless. Perhaps, the best way to help a child explore, express, understand emotions, problems, problem solving, habits & much more via stories. Each story helps the child enter a completely different magical & imaginative world that has no boundaries.
Keeping this in mind, Katha Vaachan Pratiyogita was organized for Class- Blooms on 29th October 2018. The children narrated various stories. They wore the costumes related with their stories and also carried attractive props. The children were very much confident & enthusiastic. Everyone enjoyed the story telling.
This competition helped the children to develop confidence & improve vocal skills.

25th October 2018 - Kavita Vaachan Pratiyogita
Family plays a very important part in our lives. To make kids understand the importance of family, KAVITA VACHAN PRATIYOGITA (RHYME RECITATION COMPETITION) was held on 25th October 2018 for the students of class BUDS wherein the shortlisted students were well dressed along with colorful and attractive props. They participated with great enthusiasm and jubilation. The students were appreciated for their confidence and performances, which they showcased arduously on the stage during the competition.

10th October 2018 - Inter House Comic Act Competition
An Inter House Comic Act Competition was organized for classes III-V on 10 October, 2018. Students from each of the four houses participated enthusiastically in this team event. The students prepared humorous acts to promote fun and laughter. This competition was a way to instill the idea of happy living in the young minds of the students.
With a blend of humor and catchy punch lines, the students made their acts cling to the minds of the audience. Students and teachers contributed heartily by boosting the confidence of the participants with their cheers and giggles.
The first position was bagged by Harmony house with an outstanding performance. The second position was attained by Glory house, whereas Peace house held the third position.

19th September 2018 - Talent Hunt Competition- Blooms
Believing that each child has a potential and to nurture the holistic development of the children, Talent Hunt competition was organized for class- Blooms on 19th September, 2018. It gave an opportunity to each child in showcasing their talent in singing, dancing & playing a musical instrument. Children recited patriotic songs, devotional songs like shlokas, mantras. Few other children performed dances on Folk Music & devotional songs. Children participated in the competition with full enthusiasm which reflected the parents enthusiasm & contribution. Our judges enjoyed deciding over the Best talent in different fields. It was tough for them to select the winners. Everyone enjoyed the competition thoroughly.

12th September 2018 - Chitraankan Competition
“Aaj syaahi se likh do tum apni pehchaan; Hindi ho tum, Hindi se seekho karna pyaar.”
On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, a drawing competition ‘Chitraankan’ was organized for the students of classes I and II on 12 September 2018. The students participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm and made beautiful thoughtful drawings. The themes of the competition were ‘Mera Ghar / Mera Vidyalaya / My Family Members’. The competition gave the students an opportunity to showcase their creative skills and to celebrate the bond they share with their school, home and their family members. The activity turned out to be a successful endeavour as the students thoroughly enjoyed this drawing adventure.

Rhymes can prove to be an instrumental stepping stone for young children to develop their verbal skills and boost their confidence.
Keeping this in mind, English Recitation Competition for Buds was organized on the theme ‘MY COUNTRY MY PRIDE “on 30.8.18. The enthusiastic participants showcased varied cultures and traditions of our country and focused on Unity in Diversity. The eye catching props added icing to the cake.

27th August 2018 - Inter House Robotics Competition
An Inter-house Robotics Competition was held on 27th August,2018 .The competition began with the introduction of the contestants from each house-team. The rules of the inter-house competition were announced.The theme of the competition was ‘Save Earth’.All the teams participated in this competition with great enthusiasm. The tasks given to the teams were intriguing and exciting. Every one waited with baited breath for the announcement of the final scores. The Pride House won the Competition by scoring 300 points. Second position was bagged by Harmony House with 175 points. Peace House got 3rd position with 150 points. Everyone cheered for the winning teams.

27th August 2018 - Quiz - Incredible India
India is and will always be an enchanting land. India is a unique country with diversity. It is known for its diversity in region, religion, languages, food, clothes, festivals and everything which uniquely represents the country and its people. India is incredible because of its monuments, forests and the rich cultural heritage that it carries with it. To make the young ones know more about their country and its rich cultural heritage a quiz was organized for the children of class II on Incredible India. Providing every child with the opportunity to be a part of this quiz, the preliminary round of the quiz was completed in the classrooms and students were then selected from each class based on their individual performances. The final round of the quiz was held on 27th August 2018. It was an inter class quiz comprising of 6 teams. The five rounds comprised of slides based on visual input. All the teams gave a tough competition to each other and even a tie breaker round was organized as all the teams performed extremely well in the quiz.

An Inter house AD-MAD competition on the topic “Healthy Living” was organized for classes III-V on 1 August, 2018. One group comprising of 5 students each participated from the four houses. The students prepared creative advertisements to promote healthy living. This competition was a way to instill the idea of a healthy lifestyle in the young mind of the students.
With a blend of simplicity in creativity and catchy punch lines, the students made their adverts cling to the minds of the audience. Students and teachers contributed heartily by boosting the confidence of the participants with their cheers and giggles.
The first position was bagged by Harmony house with an outstanding performance. The second position was attained by Pride house, whereas, Glory house and Peace house jointly held the third position.

27th July 2018 - Fancy Dress Competition – Fantasy World
A fantasy is a pleasant situation or event that a child usually think about and that he want to happen, especially one that is unlikely to happen. Fantasy is very different from real life, usually involving magic.Grade- Blooms held their Fancy Dress competition with ‘Fantasy’ as the theme on 27 July, 2018. It was an immense pleasure to watch our little kindergarteners dressed up as their favourite Fantasy world character. The students came forward in their costumes & spoke on the character they were dressed up as. To name a few were Princess, Fireman , Mini mouse, Aladdin, Army man, Doraemonand many more. Their efforts & hard work were highly commendable &appreciable. They all participated in the competition with high spirits. Everyone enjoyed the competition thoroughly.

27th July 2018 - Inter House Dress Designing Competition
Inter class dress designing competition was organized for classes VI - IX on 27 July 2018. One group participated from each house comprising of 4 students. 3 students prepared the dress and modeling it. Students used various types of wastes for making dresses in order to beautify their models and exhibited their skills of art and craft.
It was an innovative way of instilling the technique of optimum utilization of waste which proved to be highly beneficial and creative.

11th July 2018 - Inter House Science Quiz Competition (Classes III - V)
An Inter House Science Quiz Competition was held for classes III-V on 11th July 2018. There were four teams comprising of three participants, one each from classes III, IV and V.The competition comprised of four rounds namely visual, buzzer, guess the scientist and rapid fire. Every round of the quiz was a mixed bag, with questions ranging from the oldest to the latest contributions of scientists, History of Science, etc. Rapid fire round gave other teams, a chance to catch-up with the leading team and turned the tables around.
It was heart-warming to see the children brimming with enthusiasm and exuberance as they vied with the others to answer questions that required explanation and reasoning.The quiz ended with the declaration of the results. Peace and Harmony Houses bagged the first position followed by Glory House, in the second position and Pride House in third.
All the students enjoyed the quiz thoroughly and found it a great learning experience.

09th May 2018 - Inter House Math Quiz
“Mathematics may not teach us how to add happiness or how to subtract sorrows. But it gives us every reason to hope that every problem has a solution.”
To assess the mathematical skills, aptitude and proficiency of the students, Sachdeva Global School conducted the Inter House Math Quiz for the students of classes III to V on 9th May, 2018. It was an attempt to prepare young minds for a journey to the world of mathematics. Three students from each house participated in the quiz. It created an opportunity for the children to showcase their skills and potential on a common platform. Various rounds like logical reasoning, puzzles, vedic math and rapid fire were held.
Some questions were posed to the audience to which they answered enthusiastically. Overall, it was an enriching , interesting and fun filled activity. Glory House grabbed the first position with an outstanding performance. The second position was held by Harmony House, whereas, the third and fourth positions were bagged by Peace and Pride House respectively.
