28th March 2024 – Parent Orientation Programme 2024-25
“At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents.”
An Orientation programme for the new set of parents of class Buds and Blooms was organized on 28th March 2024 to get them acquainted with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school. Our Head of School, Ms. Miti Dhingra accorded a warm welcome to the esteemed guest, Dr. Roma Kumar.
The programme started with lamp lighting by the eminent guest speaker, Ms. Roma Kumar (Consultant Psychologist in Institute of Child Health), our Head of School, Ms. Miti Dhingra and Pre-Primary Incharge, Ms. Mitali Sehrawat along with a few parents. Dr. Roma Kumar addressed the parents on ‘Positive Parenting and Child Development’ and also took up various queries raised by them. This was followed by an interactive session on the role of parents and teachers in shaping their children, especially in the crucial years of their growth by our Head of School, Miti Dhingra. She shared few tips about good parenting and emphasized on spending quality time with their children to unfold the potential and support them to reach their highest calibre.
Parents were apprised about the functioning of the school, the dispersal pattern, security and safety regulations, academic pattern and co-curricular activities that are conducted in the school. Many fun filled activities were organized for the parents to make them familiar with our teaching methodology and promote parental involvement. The learning outcomes of these activities were also discussed.
The event proved to be a very fruitful one and as it concluded, we had smiling parents and enthusiastic teachers, all geared up for the new academic session.

21st March 2024 – Graduation Day Celebration (Buds-II)
“Remember the past, live in the present and look forward to the future”
It is rightly said, ‘To make an end is to make a beginning’. Graduation Day is an exciting milestone for pre-primary children as it’s their first step towards a future full of hopes and possibilities. It marks a new beginning that adds new dimensions to their school life and the journey they begin towards knowledge and education.
To make this moment significant, Sachdeva Global School celebrated Graduation Day on 21st March 2024. The tiny tots, their parents and teachers celebrated the progress of the children together and applauded the young learners for their commendable performance. The event commenced with lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
The programme began with a Welcome Song presented by the little members of our school choir and a Classical Dance representing The Tridevi, in their vibrant costumes adding to the grandeur of the event. The Annual Prize distribution ceremony felicitated the students based on their accomplishments in the Academic Year 2023-24.
The students of Classes Buds to II highlighted the theme of the event ‘Cartoon Carnival’ and left everybody spell bound as they danced on tunes of some vibrant music of the Mickey Mouse. This was followed by a mesmerizing Aladdin Dance with highly coordinated movements that promptly set the tone and mood of the atmosphere to an all-time high. The Dance Delight ended with a Bhangra number and the young Yoga and Skating enthusiasts showing their talent. Then came the most important part of the celebrations, the Graduation Ceremony wherein the tiny tots of Class Blooms shared the experiences of their educational ride and also dressed up in graduation robes and caps. The HOS felicitated the students with Certificate of Graduation. Their smiling faces were welcomed by rapturous applause from the audience as they received certificate. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for everyone.

15th March 2024 – Holi Celebration (Buds-II)
"Let’s celebrate Holi with vibrant colours this year. Happy Holi!”
Holi is a colourful festival that marks the arrival of spring and the triumph of good over evil. It bursts with colours as people joyfully smear each other, creating a kaleidoscope of hues. Bonfires light up the night, signifying the triumph of light. It exemplifies the spirit of togetherness, fostering harmony and happiness across communities, making it a cherished and exuberant celebration worldwide.
Students were made aware of why we celebrate the festival of Holi and its roots in mythology, emphasising its message of unity. The students of Buds and Blooms participated in ‘Splash and Colour’ activity in which they handprinted a white sheet with their tiny hands using poster colours, whereas Class I and II participated in ‘Colour my folder’ activity wherein students added colours to their art folders using their handprints. This activity not only enlightened young minds about the festival's traditions but also helped in fostering appreciation and respect for diverse cultures.
Overall, it helped them celebrate and enjoy a festival in its true colours by keeping John Dewey's idea of hands-on learning in mind. Students thoroughly enjoyed the activities and discovered the myriad of colours.

17th February 2024 – Capacity Building Programme - National Curriculum Framework- Foundational Stage

The National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage (NCF-FS 2022) has been developed by the NCERT as per the mandate of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to outline the competencies and learning outcomes, general principles and approaches that should guide teaching and learning at the foundational stage.
A one-day Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on “National Curriculum Framework- Foundational Stage” was organized at Sachdeva Global School on 17th February 2024. Teachers of various schools attended the interactive workshop held under the aegis of the CBSE Training Programme to get familiarized with the skills needed to cope well with the curriculum changes and shift in the pedagogy.
The session began with the welcome and introduction of the Resource Person, Ms. Ritika Bhandari and Mr. Sandeep Kumar, experts in the field of education. They highlighted the key features and aims of the National Curriculum Framework and also mentioned that the new changes proposed should be embraced and implemented in the current education system.
The main objective of this workshop was to make the participants understand the strategies, principles and content vital for constructive teaching and learning during the formative years. It equipped educators with a roadmap to foster social-emotional skills, facilitate holistic development and ignite a passion for lifelong learning.
Overall, the session was an interactive and engaging one. The teachers stepped out equipped with more confidence and numerous wonderful ideas for their classroom teaching.

09th February 2024 – Inter-House Rope Skipping Competition (Classes III-V)

The Inter-House Rope Skipping Competition held at Sachdeva Global School on 9 February,2024 was a vibrant display of athleticism and skill. The participants from classes III to V participated in the competition with full passion and performed well, showcasing their dedication and enthusiasm for the sport. Spectators were treated to an impressive array of routines as these young competitors executed intricate moves with remarkable precision and coordination, demonstrated their agility, coordination and endurance. Judges carefully assessed each performance, considering factors such as creativity, synchronization and difficulty level. The competition cultivated a strong sense of camaraderie among participants, as they exchanged tips and offered mutual encouragement throughout the event. In the end, winners were awarded medals and certificates.
All participants left with a sense of accomplishment and pride in their dedication to the sport. The event highlighted the joy and benefits of rope skipping, a fantastic cardio exercise that improves heart health and boosts stamina, reducing shortness of breath during activities. The event not only showcased the talent of these young athletes but also highlighted the importance of physical activity and teamwork at a young age.

08th February 2024 – Inter House Science Competition (Classes III-V)
"Science is magic that works.” – Kurt Vonnegut
Sachdeva Global School on 8 February 2024, hosted an exciting Inter-House Science Quiz, showcasing the intellect and knowledge of students from Classes 3-5. The event aimed to foster scientific curiosity and promote a spirit of healthy competition among the participants.
The quiz commenced with the 'Do You Remember?' round, where participants were tested on their retention of scientific concepts. Questions ranged from basic scientific facts to more intricate principles, challenging the students' memory and understanding. Each correct answer was met with applause, encouraging participants to keep their spirits high.
Following the first round, the atmosphere heightened with the introduction of the 'Buzzer Round.' This segment tested not only the participants' knowledge but also their quick thinking and reflexes. With anticipation mounting, contestants eagerly awaited the opportunity to buzz in and provide their answers. The intense competition and the race against the buzzer kept both participants and spectators on the edge of their seats.
The final round, 'Can You Guess?' added an element of intrigue and deduction to the quiz. Participants were presented with clues or incomplete scientific statements, and they had to use their reasoning skills to provide the correct answers. This round not only tested their scientific knowledge but also their ability to analyze and infer information—a crucial skill in the realm of science.
The Inter-House Science Quiz proved to be an enriching and engaging event for both participants and the spectators. Students demonstrated their passion for science and their eagerness to learn. The event not only celebrated academic excellence but also encouraged teamwork, critical thinking and sportsmanship among the participants.

30th January 2024 – GSP Sterling School Award 2023-24
Sachdeva Global School received the prestigious ‘GSP Sterling School Award’ for the second time in a row in the Award Ceremony organized by the Centre for Science and Environment on 30th January 2024 at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre. The award was given by the famous environmentalist and activist, Smt Sunita Narain, director general of the CSE. The school featured in the 4 percent schools across India to be rated ‘Green’ this year.
The school has been rated ‘Green’ now for six consecutive years. The students and the staff has always been instrumental in contributing towards environment sustainability and conservation across the six domains namely- Air, Land, Energy, Food, Water and Waste.
The students and the staff of the school will continue to work for the welfare of the environment and bringing about an effective awareness in the community!

25th January 2024 – Republic Day Celebration (Buds-II)
“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes in the world.” - Mahatma Gandhi
Republic Day marks the adoption of India's constitution and the country's transition to a republic on January 26, 1950. Every year, the celebrations marking the day feature spectacular military and cultural pageantry.
‘Making a Tricolour Head Band’ activity was conducted for the students of Buds and Blooms in which they beautifully coloured the cutout of hand with the colours of their national flag. ‘Making a Tricolour Badge’ activity was conducted for the students of Classes I and II wherein they drew the national flag on the cutout of a circle given to them. The main aim of this activity was to infuse the spirit of patriotism amongst students. The teachers discussed the significance of Republic Day and briefed the students about the main attractions of this day.
All the students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed making badges and head bands.
