26th October 2023 – "The nation that destroys its nature, destroys itself"
"We are the first generation to feel the impact of climate change, and the last generation that can do something about it.” - BARACK OBAMA
Look deep into nature and find out ways to promote nature-based, toxic-free land care practices for the health of people, their pets and the planet.
With the view of making students aware of this mission and its importance, students of class IX-C presented the morning assembly. The assembly started by updating the students with useful news from India and the world. It was followed by a motivational speech which focussed on how the collective actions of every individual will help healing the nature for our prosperous future. An inspiring poem was also presented to make the students realise that nature is our life and soul that needs to be nourished.
Globalities were taught the significance of saving nature for our own existence. The nation that destroys its nature, destroys itself means that in a world where nations strive for progress and prosperity, there exists a fundamental truth that cannot be ignored. A truth that binds the fate of a nation to the health of its environment is that the pursuit of growth without regard for the environment can lead to irreversible consequences. We should know that true progress lies in harmonizing development with nature, ensuring a legacy that spans generations. This idea was explained by a mime act presented by the students.
Ms. Julie Rajput, Headmistress of the School, appreciated the student's efforts & illuminated the young minds by stating the significance of saving nature and its importance in one’s life. Overall, the assembly was an informative yet interesting one.

20th October 2023 – Assembly: Dussehra- Burn away the evil (Buds-A)
“The fragrance of the flower is never borne against the breeze, but the fragrance of human virtues diffuses itself everywhere." - Ramayana
Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami or ‘the day of victory’, comes after the nine nights of Navratri. It is a festival that symbolizes the victory of good over evil. The word 'Dussehra' is made up of two Hindi words 'dus' and 'hara', where ‘dus’ means ten and ‘hara' is annihilated. Therefore, if these two words are combined, 'Dussehra' stands for the day when the ten evil faces of Ravana were destroyed by Lord Rama.
To tell everyone more about this festival, an assembly was organized on the topic ‘Dussehra- Burn away the Evil’ on 20th October 2023 by class Buds - A. The students presented a play on Ramayana, depicting various characters and pivotal incidences from the epic. Dressed in beautiful traditional outfits, they told us the significance of this festival and depicted how Lord Rama triumphed over Ravana.
A discussion on the book titled ‘Little Scarlet’s big Fibs’ was done by Ms. Kriti to encourage our pupils to discover the myriad of books housed in their library.
Ms. Miti Dhingra, Head of the School highlighted the importance of this festival and encouraged students to celebrate it by killing the demon that seeks refuge in us and outgrow ourself as a better human being.

16th October 2023 – Intra-Class Rangoli Making Competition using Mathematical Shapes (Classes I & II)
“Colours and patterns come alive with the magic of Rangoli.”
Rangoli is a traditional Indian art form that creates colourful and intricate patterns on the ground, typically during festivals and special occasions. While Rangoli is usually associated with freehand designs, it can also incorporate mathematical shapes to create stunning and precise patterns. Mathematical elements, such as circles, triangles, and squares, introduce precision and symmetry to Rangoli designs, elevating their visual appeal.
To make our students explore the power of shapes, an ‘Intra-Class Rangoli Making Competition’ on the theme ‘Math Mania’ was organised for classes I and II on 16th October 2023.
The participants showcased beautiful rangoli designs by using mathematical forms. This fusion of traditional and mathematical shapes helped the participant understand the enriched ancient tradition, resulting in visually appealing and culturally rich designs that captivate and celebrate the beauty of Indian culture.

Books are a child’s best friend. They are packed with knowledge, they also teach us about hardships, love, fear and every little thing that is a part of life. 19th June 2023 – Celebration of National Reading Day (Classes III-V)
"A book is a garden, an orchard, a storehouse, a party, a company by the way, a counsellor, a multitude of counsellors."
Most of us have personalised memories of the books and stories that have enlightened us. Books can decrease our sense of isolation. They deepen and widen and expand our sense of life: They feed the soul. When writers make us shake our heads with the exactness of their prose and their truths, and even make us laugh about ourselves or life, our buoyancy is restored.
Honouring the father of the Library Movement, the late P.N. Panicker and promoting the culture of reading, June 19 is celebrated every year as National Reading Day.
In this light, the 28th National Reading Day was celebrated by observing 19th June as National Reading Day and Reading Hour between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Children of classes 3-5 took out time to dedicate some hours to reading and letting themselves wander in the world of their favourite books.
This activity and the enthusiastic participation of the students made us realise that we don’t need a list of rights and wrongs, tables of dos and don'ts: We need books, time, and quietness. ‘Thou shalt not’ is soon consigned to oblivion, but ‘Once upon a time’ lasts forever.
