ADVANCEMENT THAT I
WISH TO SEE BY 2050
By 2050, I wish to see technological advancement
in the field of space exploration which would
enable me to spend my summer vacation with my
family on the moon or to travel around the world
in a space craft in just a matter of seconds. Space
tourism should be made viable by 2050. Planning
a trip to moon will be as easy as planning a trip to
Shimla or Dubai. Many people might even settle in
space and establish factories and crops in order
to fulfil their daily requirements.

INDIA 2050- A SNAPSHOT
India 2050- A snapshot, throws light on my vision
for India in the year 2050. I have envisioned
how much the country will develop when it will
celebrate a century of its republic .Will it be able
to attain the status of a developed nation? Will
there be zero poverty and gender equality in
our country? Will India be able to overcome all
shortcomings and emerge as a GLOBAL SUPER
POWER? While these questions, at present
remain unanswered, we surely are on the road
to development with so many innovations being
done in India.
India has the strongest youth power and it will
be our biggest advantage. Technology in the
upcoming years would completely change the
lifestyle over the next 30 years. From automated
workstations, tech-savvy environment, virtual
reality to automated public transport and
e-classrooms. In addition, with other scientific
advances, it will be fascinating to believe that how
other planets will be more accessible to common
man.

ISRO AND MINISTRY
OF SCIENCE AND
TECHNOLOGY
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)
has constantly worked throughout the years since
when it was established in 1962. Very recently,
ISRO had launched it second mission to the moon
named, Chandrayaan 2. The mission was a partial
success, and now ISRO is hoping to make up for it
with its future missions. ISRO has set up a vision
for itself which is- “To harness space technology
for national development, while pursuing space
science research and planetary exploration”.
While this shows the vision of ISRO, the chairman,
K. Sivan spoke about the most upcoming mission
named ‘Gaganyaan’. He said, "The most important
mission for us is Gaganyaan, the manned mission
to the space and ISRO is working diligently on it. It is
set to be launched in 2022. The department is also
responsible for providing science and technology
facilities to the women and economically weaker
section of people. It has set up many schemes
throughout the year for the cause. Both these
fields have worked hard and are continuing to
do so with high hopes for the future. They are
ready to make India better in space, science and
technology by 2050.
