India 2019 - India is one of the strongest emerging economies in the world. Presently,
India is a developing nation. In terms of fundamentals of the country’s economy, its
inflation has come down from 10% five years ago to 4.6%. Gross domestic product
expanded 1.4% in the first quarter of 2019 over the previous quarter. Environmental
sanitation has become a major public health issue. Our education system produces 1.5
million engineers every year.
India in 2050 - By the year 2050, India’s economy will be the second largest economy after China
surpassing the USA. India’s brain drain problem will completely cease as students from prominent
institutes will no longer go out to find jobs rather they will take the country forward on the path of
progress with stress on quality over quantity.

India 2019 - India in 2019 has achieved many milestones both politically and socially.
The abolishment of section 377 gave citizens hope for a better future; the launch
of Chandrayaan 2 made all of us proud to be an Indian and the amendments made
in Article 370 made us one step ahead to achieve equality. But even after all these
achievements we are still lagging behind in many more issues like women safety,
pollution and over population. To make India a better place the thought process of the
population must change, until then it is difficult for the country to develop.
India in 2050 - India has this great human resource in present times, but for the development of
the nation as a whole, the thought process of the people needs to change. It is unpredictable if India
will grow in the future or if it will drown. I envision India to develop in all spheres from getting equal
representation for women in the parliament to being the most developed country in the world, having
safer roads to being a corruption free nation.

India 2019 - India maintains a robust electoral democracy with a competitive multi-
party system at federal and state levels, though politics are beset by corruption.
The constitution guarantees freedom of expression and the news media are vibrant.
However, harassment and violence has increased. India’s minority groups enjoy legal
equality and sometimes benefit from affirmative action programs. However, some of
them still remain economically and socially marginalized.
India in 2050 - India will be the envy of the world for having solved the habitat problem. Local water
harvesting and local waste recycling would have been developed to a fine art to ensure high quality
at low cost. Emphasis will be on conservation and no material would be allowed to go waste. Life
expectancy should go up to nearly 90 years. That will exacerbate problems of old age; hospitals will
have more to do with degenerative disease than with water-borne diseases that are currently the bane
of the country. We will use technology to make India self –reliant. We will be a world leader in IT, energy,
telecommunications, biotechnology and a major service provider in education and medicine.
By the year 2050, India would have entered the ranks of developed nations and will not be tagged as a
developing nation anymore.

break free, clear our vision and see a new life for ourselves.”
