30th September 2016 – Talent Hunt Competition (Buds – Blooms)
Our school has been providing various opportunities to students to bring out their inherent talents. A talent hunt competition was organized for Buds – Blooms level on 30th Septmeber 2016 to encourage the children to come forward and show their talents.
The main reason behind organizing this competition is to nurture the intrinsic qualitites of students and remove the fear of stage among students, which helps in personality development too.
Students exhibited their talent in various activities. They sang hindi songs, they performed on traditional Rajasthani folk song, some danced and some of the children recite rhymes. Students of SGS were very enthusiastic and participated actively and very well executed their talents.

29th September 2016 – Assembly – The Indian Defence Force
The Indian Armed Forces are the military forces of the Republic of India. It consists of three professional uniformed forces: Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. On 29th September 2016 class IV-A students presented the special assembly on the Indian Defence Force. In this they highlighted about the three forces Of Indian Defence Force.
A group of students informed about the various functions of the Indian Defence Force. A small skit was also presented by the students in which they enacted as the officers of the Indian Defence Force and highlighted about the braveryof the officers. A studentwas also made to enact as the President who awarded the students enacting as officers with Paramveer Chakra for their achievements. Students who enacted as the officers spoke about their experiences and achievements after receiving the award which proved that our flag does not fly because the wind blows it,it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died defending it.Group song was also presented by the students which aroused the patriotic feeling among the students.
26th Septmeber 2016 – Talent Hunt Competition (Classes I – II)

To provide platform to the students to exhibit their skills, a ‘Talent Hunt’ competition was organized for the students of classes I & II on 26.9.16. The students showcased their inherent talents and performed with full zeal and confidence. The competition included three categories: Vocal Music, Dance and Instrumental Music. We had students with varied talent abilities and interests buried deep within them. The performances brought a smile on every face. There was a complete ambience of the joy. The whole place hummed with action with children giving vigorous performances in all categories. The audience was mesmerized by the performances. The judges of the competition were Ms. Meeta Manocha, Ms. Poonam and Ms. Shiney.

20th September 2016 – Visit to Nehru Planetarium
With its aim to promote astronomy education, an educational excursion was organized by SGS for class I on 20.9.16 and for class II on 29.9.16 to The Nehru Planetarium which is situated on the grounds of Teen Murti Bhavan. The main attraction of the day was The Sky Theatre show on the theme ‘The New Solar System’. The sky theatre has a dome shaped roof which looks like space. The children were introduced to the constellations and planets through the theatre show in a very interesting manner. Visuals such as computer animations and video clippings were shown with special effects. The students saw how the Universe was created with the Big Bang. Apart from planets and constellations, various celestial bodies like Black Holes, space showers, meteorites, shooting stars etc were also shown. Detailed explanation of the family of planets was given. The planets looked real and the students felt as if they are actually in space. This all gave a real life experience of space to the kids. The children were very surprised to see the planetarium and enjoyed the show very much. It was an enriching, exciting and a good learning experience for the children.
14th September 2016 – Assembly : Stay Healthy, Stay Happy
Food is the building block of every cell in the body and is responsible for the proper functioning of the whole body. For that reason, it is important to know what is good for our body and what is not. Good food leads to good health. Health and fitness keep our body and mind healthy and peaceful. It brings the feeling of well being physically, mentally, spiritually and socially. Now-a-days, people are so busy that they don’t have time to cook food. They generally eat food that can be cooked easily or that is ready to eat but they don’t realize that our health depends on what we eat. To tell us more about this, the students of class II-A presented an informative assembly on the topic ‘STAY HEALTHY, STAY HAPPY’ on 14.9.16.
The students used beautiful props to show the difference between healthy and junk food and what effect do they have on our health. The students explained that the food which contains little or no nutrients is called junk food.They further told that people eat junk food as it is tasty and delicious but they don’t realize how badly it affects our health. It contains a lot of sugar and salt and eating that can cause disorder such as obesity, diabetes and even heart diseases.
The assembly concluded with giving away of certificates to the winners of ‘Fancy Dress’ competition (Blooms).
14th September 2016 – Inter House Quilling Competition
Inter House Quilling Competition was organized for classes III – V. Each house had one group comprising of 6 students.
Children enjoyed doing paper quilling as it was a new learning experience for them; and made beautiful figures and objects.
The theme given to them was ‘Nature’ wherein they made a Peacock dancing in the rain, an elephant and a tree, sunrise and an aquarium.
Children enjoyed the competition and showcased their creativity.
8th September 2016 – All India Camel Art Contest
Art is an integral part of our lives. It adds creativity and beauty to everything.
SGS organized an All India Camel Art Contest on 8th September 2016 to give opportunity to students to showcase their imagination through creative and artistic skills.
The contest was open to children for classes Buds – V.
Children participated with full zeal and enthusiasm and exhibited artistic skill in the contest by making beautiful drawings on the topics like My Toys, Favourtie Park, My Hobbies and City Traffic.
The contest was full of enthralling events that saw participation of students in large number.
(6 - 7)th September 2016 – Zonal Roller Skating Meet 2016-17
Continuing with the rigorous practice of skating that is given to all globalities, Sachdeva Global School students particiapted in Zonal Rolling Skating Meet 2016-17 held at Dwarka Internatinoal School, Sec-12, Dwarka, Delhi. Almost 250 skaters and 35 school participated. The students performed extremely well.

6th September 2016 – Assembly on Teacher’s Day
Teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th September every year to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishna. The day is dedicated to teachers who play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. We can never thank teacher enough for their immense contribution in a student’s life.
Class Blooms-E presented a special assembly on 6th September on the on 6th September 2016 on the occasion of soulful rendering of the Guru Vandana by the kids. The compering was enthusiasticaly done by the children themselves. A beautiful poem on the teacher was recited by the group of the children. This was followed by a beautiful dance performance. The assembly was enjoyed by one and all.
