29th January 2016 – Annual Swami Vivekananda Competition
A Globalite attended an Annual Swami Vivekananda Competition on 16/10/2015 which was a compilation of various events based on Indian History and Vivekananda’s life. It initiated with a Quiz followed by Group Discussion, Essay Writing and an Interview. Another Quiz on the topic of Inner Strengths was also an attraction of the competition. A spring of delight and fame was added to our school with a certificate stating Ist position in the junior category and a cash prize of Rs. 10000 by Ritvik Tanwar of Class VII-B on 29/01/2016. It was a remarkable achievement which stole our hearts and filled us with a feeling of intense jubilation.
21st January 2016 – Republic Day Celebration
Keeping up with the tradition of challenging one’s own limits of excellence, Sachdeva Global School organized the Republic Day Celebrations on 21st January 2016, which was a true cultural extravaganza. The chief guest was Shri S. K. Sachdeva, Chairman Sachdeva Group of Institutions, Mrs. Kiran Gambhir, Advisor, Mr. Anil Sachdeva, Vice Chairman, Dr R. C. Chadha and Dr. S. N. Maheswari, eminent members of the management committee with Mrs. Sudha Sadangi, HoS, SR World School were among the other dignitaries who were present for the ceremony. They were felicitated by Mrs. Sumana Dutta Sarkar, the Head of the School.
Pearls of wisdom by the Honourable Chairman Sir gave an astounding commencement to the function. The cultural programme began with the rejuvenating welcome dance “Abhinandan” enumerating various serene and charismatic ways of expressing gratitude followed by a captivating fusion performance “Vilayan” which enthralled the viewers and took them into the melodious cultural spree. Annual Prize Distribution showcased the laurels brought by the Globalites and motivated them to scale newer heights. The young dancers of the school stole the show presenting a grand spectacle of amalgamation of Classical and Western dance along with the power of Yoga forms showcased in the “Sangeet Spandan” provided a kaleidoscope of vibrant arts and talents on the stage. The spirit of liberation signified by the Release of Balloons marked the historical ending. The instrumental, dance and musical tribute to the nation enticed the audiences and they were awe-struck by the scintillating show. The event was a grand success and set the momentum for even higher excellence in the times to come.
