15 December 2016 – The Colours of the Rainbow
“Life is like a rainbow. You need both rain and sun to make its colour appear”
A ‘Growth Workshop’ was conducted by Nestle India Limited in partnership with Times Of India on 29th November 2016 for classes IV-VIII in Sachdeva Global School, Dwarka.
A rainbow is an arc of colours in the sky that can be seen when the sun shines through falling rain.It is caused by the light from the sun being broken up by water droplets in the atmosphere. The sun's light is "white", but the water droplets break it up into seven different colours: VIOLET, INDIGO, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE and RED. The rainbow signifies that God loves all equally and that we all can live together in peace just like the colours of the rainbow. To tell us more about its significance, the students of class I-D presented a wonderful assembly on the topic ‘THE COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW’ on 15 December 2016.
The assembly started with a short introduction about rainbow and how it is formed. Thereafter, the students enacted a skit showcasing the significance of each colour of the rainbow. The students were dressed up beautifully representing different colours. It was a delight for the eyes to see so many colours together on the stage. The assembly concluded with the students reciting a poem, titled ‘We are the colours of rainbow’ and telling that whenever we see a rainbow we should remember that God wants us all to appreciate one another andlive in peace without dominating anyone.

5th December 2016 – As You Sow, So Shall You Reap
‘As you sow, so shall you reap’ is a proverb which means as the action is, so is the result. A good action has a good result and an evil action has a bad result. Man is responsible for the effect of his actions. Happiness or misery depends upon the deeds of man. It is the man only who is responsible for his success or failure. In the golden period of youth, if you sow the seeds of idleness and bad habits, you will reap nothing but misery, hardship and humiliation in the future. On the contrary if you sow the seeds of patience, hard work and determination, life will be bright and fruitful. To enlighten us more regarding this, the students of class I C presented an assembly on the topic ‘AS YOU SOW, SO SHALL YOU REAP’ on 5 December, 2016.
The students showcased that on the field of our life we should sow the seeds of virtue and good deeds so that we may reap a rich harvest of happiness now and forever. Things will happen to us according to how we behave. Good deeds make our life smooth and cheerful. Thereafter, they recited a beautiful poem titled‘Plant three rows of peace’ followed by a skit which taught us that we harvest, what we plant. So we should always do good so that we can get goodness in return.
