29th September 2015 – Tux Typing Contest
A tux typing competition was organized for class II students on 29th September 2015. In this competition the typing skills of the students were tested using the tux typing software. After being given adequate practice, the preliminary round of the competition for each class was conducted in their respective computer lab periods. Students were selected from each class based on their individual performance in the preliminary round. The final round of the competition was held on 29th September 2015 and it was conducted as an intra class competition. The students enjoyed a lot and the ones who scored more than 10,000 points were declared as winners.

(28 – 29) September 2015 – Talent Hunt Contest – Buds - Blooms
Talent hunt serve a wonderful platform for budding talent.
Our school organized a “Talent Hunt” for the students of Buds and Blooms. The children showcased their talent by performing various dance forms songs and by playing various musical instruments. The children were full of enthusiasm and dressed in beautiful attires. The event was a great success and appreciated.

24th September 2015 – Jagdeep Singh Memorial Skating Meet
Skating is a great way to participate in a fitness activity which benefits both the mind and body.
Sachdeva Global School students participated in 24th Jagdeep Singh Memorial Skating Meet 2015 held at Remal Public School Sec-3, Rohini. Almost 600 skaters participated in the event. The students of Sachdeva Global School performed extremely well and won 10 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze medals, total 16 medals.

22nd September 2015 – Assembly: Id-ul-Zuha
It is one of the festivals which spread joy & happiness amongst all was also not left untouched with the zeal and the festive spirit. Students of Buds-B presented an inspiring assembly on 22nd September 2015 on this festival.
The tiny tots were dressed up in colourful clothes and were full of enthusiasm. The assembly began with an introduction to the festival and its importance. The girls attires performed on a lively dressed in Kashmiri stepping foot on “Eid Mubarak” song.
The assembly was very informative and enjoyed by all.
16th September 2015 – Ganesh Chaturthi
At SGS all the festivals are celebrated with zest and in an endeavour to maintain the festive spirit, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated by the students of Buds-A in the form of a lively assembly on 16th September 2015. The assembly started by providing information about the festival where tiny tots spoke about the significance of the festival. It was followed by a marvelous dance on “Shankar ji Ka Damru Baaje” and Ganesha’s Aarti. The assembly was enjoyed by all.
15th September 2015 – Talent Hunt Contest – Class I

Every person on this earth is born with some talent. One just requires an opportunity to come out with his talent to provide a platform to the budding talents; our school organized a Talent Hunt Contest on 15th September 2015 for class I. The contest was divided into two rounds. Round 1 - Preliminary Round which was conducted on 10th September 2015 and Round 2 – Final Round 15th September 2015. The students showcased their talents under three categories i.e. Dance, Songs & Instrumental. The students participated enthusiastically and put up their best foot and displayed their great talents. Based upon their performances, the best of the students were selected from each category and awarded. It was a wonderful experience for both the students and the teachers to witness the musical retreat.
09th September 2015 – Camel Colour Contest
‘Colour is something we see with our eyes. It is as strong as the impression it creates.’
Colours are said to be the smiles of nature. To experience the beauty of the colours and the smiles it creates, a Camel Colour Contest was organized for Class I on 9th September 2015. The day started with great enthusiasm. The kids began with great excitement and tried their hands on colours, creating beautiful drawings on A3 size sheets. The whole class environment was filled with different colours spreading smiles everywhere. The contest lasted an hour. It was a great experience and enjoyment for the kids to create different sketches and for the teachers as well to see the kids smile amidst the colours.
8th September 2015 – Assembly on Hindi Diwas
Hindi Day or Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September 2015. It is celebrated all through India to celebrate the significance, magnanimity and richness of Hindi language.
Students of class Blooms-D presented a very informative assembly on Hindi Diwas on 8th September 2015. The assembly began with a few introductory lines, where children threw light on the importance and significance of Hindi Diwas. The little ones with beautiful head gears made the audience aware of this special day and the importance of our national language in today’s scenario. The children also recited a rhyme on Hindi language and few shlokas of a famous Hindi poet Sant Kabir Das. At the end there was a dance performance on the song ‘Hum Hain Hindustani’. The assembly was enjoyed by all.
07th September 2015 – Astronomy and Space Science Workshop
A 90 minute workshop was conducted by ‘SPACE’ organization on ‘Astronomy and Space Science’ for class III – X on 7th September 2015.
The students were very excited and participated with zest and zeal. They gained hands on knowledge via games and activities taken up by the organizers.
The workshop on ‘Magnificent family of Sun’ was enlightening, where the students learnt about our solar system and sequence of each planet according to their size.
Students were enthusiastic to participate in each game and activity and there was a wave of elation for getting gifts for each correct answer.
The students were most excited about the rocket launch which concluded the workshop thereby enhancing their knowledge and stirring scientific curiosity among the children.
The workshop was a hands-on learning session for all children. They had an amazing opportunity to learn, explore and experiment. These workshops would really make the students more innovative, analytical and observant in the long run and surely help them in their interdisciplinary performances.
03rd September 2015 – Assembly on Janmashtami and Teacher’s Day
This year SGS kids got the privilege to celebrate two occasions on the same day and we gladly celebrated the festival of Janmashtmi and Teacher’s Day on 5th September 2015.
On the occasion of Janmashtami and Teacher’s Day, the students of class Blooms-C presented a lively assembly on 3rd September 2015. The assembly began with a few introductory lines on Janmashtami, where children threw light on the importance and significance of this festival. Children also presented a small skit to depict the birth of Lord Krishna.
At the end, children threw light on the significance of celebrating Teacher’s Day by speaking few lines on it. They also presented a rhyme on Teacher’s Day and raised the audience to applaud.
The assembly was informative and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
3rd September 2015 – YAKULT Workshop
Continuing with the endeavour to make students aware of the importance of health, a workshop was organized in association with Yakult for students of classes III to V. Using the models of human digestive system, the digestive organs and their functions were explained. The queries of students were taken and a small quiz was conducted on the topic. An animated video was also shown to the students stressing upon the importance of a healthy digestive system and immunity to fight with the deadly diseases. Yakult representatives enlightened students about their probiotic drink which helps in digestion and improves immunity. At the end, students were given free samples of probiotic drink which they relished to the last sip.
02nd September 2015 – 10th Delhi State Rope Skipping Championship 2015
Kartikey Rao of Class IX-B and Rahul Kant of Class XII-B won Bronze medal in 10th Delhi State Rope Skipping Championship 2015 held at S M Arya Public School, Punjabi Bagh on 2nd September 2015.
