31st December 2015 – New Year Celebration
The New Year is traditionally a time to reflect on the year gone by and to make resolutions for a positive year ahead. New Year's Day is observed on January 1, the first day of the year on the modern Gregorian calendar as well as the Julian calendar. New Year's Day is probably the most celebrated public holiday, often observed with fireworks at the stroke of midnight as the New Year starts in each time zone. Global New Years' Day traditions include making New Year's resolutions and calling one's friends and family. To celebrate it an assembly was organized by Class III C on the occasion of New Year. The students told us that what does New Year means an interesting poem on the Resolutions of New Year was rendered by one student. This assembly was concluded by an entertaining dance performance by students. The head of the school, Mrs. Sumana Dutta Sarkar also wished all the students and teachers a very Happy New Year.
23rd December 2015 – 10th Swabhiman Sports Festival (Skating) 2015-16
Skating is a great way to participate in a fitness activity which benefits both the mind and body.
Sachdeva Global School students participated in 10th Swabhiman Inter School Skating Championship 2015 held at DDA Sports Complex, Sector-14, Rohini, New Delhi. Almost 500 Skaters participated. The Students of Sachdeva Global School performed extremely well and won 8 Gold, 8 Silver and 5 Bronze medals.

23rd December 2015 – E-Christmas Card Making Competition
Christmas is a festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. It is celebrated all around the world with a lot of fun and joy. Christmas trees are decorated and carols are sung to keep up the Christmas spirit. To keep up with the spirit of the festival an E- Christmas card making competition was organized for class II, wherein the students had to make cards using MS paint. The children drew beautiful cards which truly displayed the spirit of Christmas. It was a tough decision to make as all the students had shown a lot of creativity.

22nd December 2015 – Gourmet Guru Competition
Eating is a necessity, cooking is an Art. The Young chef group of our school participated in “Gourmet Guru Competition” held on 22nd December 2015. It was a Fireless Cooking Competition where the students from classes III to V participated and prepared various healthy and nutritious food items that too without baking/cooking under the guidance of their teachers. The future chefs amazed and impressed everyone by their innovative recipes and professional presentations. Watching 8 teams, involving about 24 students, working and cooking together was an amazing experience. The theme of the competition was “Christmas” so the salty, sweet and the crispy dishes with the Christmas puddings, mock tails and smoothies were inspired from the festive theme. The Head of the School took a round and interacted with the participants. Students enjoyed the fireless cooking and were excited to share the recipes of the food items. The zeal and excitement of the students and teachers made the event a grand success.
22nd December 2015 – Assembly on Christmas
Christmas is a festival which is celebrated on 25th December every year. It is marked as the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ, who was born in Bethlehem.
On this occasion, the students of Blooms-D presented an informative and gleaming assembly on 22nd December 2015. It began with introductory lines on Christmas. The tiny tots presented an English rhyme on ‘Santa is coming’ followed by a foot tapping dance performance where children were dressed in beautiful red colour attires and raised the audience to applaud. The assembly was lively and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
21st December 2015 – Visit to Orphanage
The students of Sachdeva Global School visited Don Bosco Orphanage (Sec-7, Dwarka) for Community service on 21st December 2015. It is a home for 118 orphans. Group of students performed a dance number to sensitize everyone for road safety measures. Globalites carried essential items, painting colors, sketch pens, books and worksheets for the orphans. The students had a wonderful experience interacting and playing with the children of the orphanage.
21st December 2015 – Christmas Card Making Competition - UKG
Christmas is a festival which is filled with cheer and wonder.
Children like Christmas festival, as it is a time when one gives and receives Christmas greetings and gifts.
To get into the festive mood of Christmas, the school organized Christmas Card making competition for the students of Blooms on 21st December 2015.
The creative hands of Blooms made sparkling Christmas cards by sketching Christmas tree, Santa Stars, and Bells etc. and decorated them well. The competition was a great success with maximum participation of the kids.

17th December 2015 – Assembly : Human Rights Day
Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December. It commemorates the day on which, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. To tell us more about this day in a interesting manner, an assembly was organized by students of class III – D. The students told about human rights and its importance. They also gave information regarding why Human Rights Day is celebrated and what is the focus of Human Rights Day this year. In the end, a poem on Human Rights further sensitized and promoted awareness among the audience. Students of class V presented a Christmas carol in French and wished everyone a merry Christmas. The head of school, Mrs. Sumana Dutta Sarkar appreciated the students for their effort.
16th December 2015 – Food We Eat
Food We Eat Good food properly prepared and eaten regularly, is one of the chief essentials of health and happiness.
It is rightly said that we need food to live, grow, get energy and become healthy and strong.
To spread this message class Blooms – B presented a very informative assembly on Food we Eat on 16th December 2015. The little ones with beautiful props and flash cards made the audience aware of the benefits of eating difference kinds of nutritious food and about good food habits.
At the end, the tiny tots presented an English rhyme on food and raised the audience to applaud.
The assembly was lively and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
10th December 2015 – International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Butterflies can’t see their wings. They can’t see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like butterflies as well. The others can see the inherent beauty and not they themselves.
To mark the ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ class III E presented morning assembly with great enthusiasm. The assembly began with the speech presented by the students. The meaning of disability was described by the students thereby telling us how differently abled people made a difference to the world.
Alexander Graham bell, Albert Einstein, Robin William, Thomas Edison, John Milton were some of the differently abled people who became famous personalities. The assembly was concluded by a dance performance depicting the lives of differently abled people, which was appreciated by all.
3rd December 2015 – Investiture Ceremony
“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school council was formed. To express the trust and confidence we repose in the leadership and team building skills of our students, the investiture ceremony was held for Sachdeva Global School for the academic session 2016-17 on 3 December 2015.
Amidst a vast gathering of the students and teachers the ceremony was presided over by Ms. Sumana Dutta Sarkar, the head of the school. The council members being selected and elected on the basis of the discipline, academics and behavior encouraged Bhavya Das as a Head Boy, Priya Kalra as Head Girl, along with School Dicipline Captains, Sports Captain, Environmental Captains Cultural Captains, Vice House Captains and Vice Discipline In Charges and Prefects to shoulder responsibilities. The members administered the oath & were bestowed the badges by the Head of the School. The newly elected council members took a pledged to work earnestly and to hold the school activities and responsibilities with Loyality, Truth and Honour in high esteem.
The head boy and the head girl shared their thoughts on taking this esteemed responsibility. The office bearers were encouraged by the motivational speech of the HOS. She stressed on the need to become more focused in their goals and to inculcate leadership qualities to become a better person in life. She also reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves and towards their school and peers.
3rd December 2015 – World AIDS Day
Class VI A presented the morning assembly on 3rd December. Students participated in assembly with great zeal and excitement. The theme of the assembly was ‘World Aids Day’. The assembly began with a prayer to the almighty. The significance of the day was brought out in a speech by Prathana. A small skit was also performed by the students to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection, and mourning those who have died of the disease.
1st December 2015 – Guru Nanak Jayanti
To remember and commemorate the birth and philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru and the founder of Sikhism, an assembly was organized by class II-F on ‘Guru Nanak Jayanti’. The students told us about the religious importance of the festival and about Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Five students dressed up as the ‘panch pyare’. The students also recited a poem which was based on the hymns of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The primary incharge of the school, Dr. Neelam Dasgupta praised class II-F for presenting an informative assembly. Also, during the assembly Ekam Bhullar (II-B), Shaivya Misra (II-A) and Seerat Bhullar (Blooms B) received gold medals and silver medal respectively for the Inter School Roller Skating Competition. They also received a trophy for holding the first position amongst all the schools in the championship.
