Keeping this thought in mind, Class XII-B presented an assembly on “World Earth Day” on 16th April 2015. The students presented a modern adaptation of Charles Dickens’ ‘Christmas Carol’. The play depicted the past, present and future of a school whose principal did not believe in the importance of celebrating ‘Earth Day’, and considered the entire stress on this concept as redundant. However, much like Ebenezer Scrooge in ‘Christmas Carol’, the principal also changes his point of view and understands the relevance of the day. The assembly ended with a song performance by Aarushi Kulshreshtha and finally, the headmistress Ms. Sumanna Dutta congratulated the students on the effort and results for certain inter house school competitions were announced.
