30TH MARCH 2013 -ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
SGS organized ‘Orientation Programme’ for the parents of kindergarten students. The event witnessed the presence of parents and their kids in great numbers. The motive of the programme was to familiarize the parent with school infrastructure and its culture. While the parents attended the Orientation Programme, their tiny tots enjoyed the fun-filled activities in the activity rooms.
The parents were acquainted with the teaching methodologies and its well-trained teaching faculty. Chairman Sir Mr. S.K. Sachdeva, Vice-Chairman Mr. Anil Sachdeva and Principal of Queen’s Valley School, Mrs. Namita Sharma graced the occasion with their presence.
Mr. Anil Sachdeva addressed the audience and focused on the joint partnership of parents and the school, in nurturing their child’s holistic development. Mrs. Novita Chopra, Head of the school assured the parents that their children are in safe hands and the teachers will leave no stone unturned to groom their ward into a ‘True Globalite’.
It was followed by a skit presented by primary teachers focusing on uniqueness of every child. The highlight of the event was the interactive session taken by the renowned counselor Mr. Jitin Chawla, who gave parenting, tips in a very interesting, interactive and playful manner.
16TH MARCH 2013 -KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION DAY
Sachdeva Global School, Dwarka, organised a ‘Graduation Day Ceremony’ for the kids of blooms(UKG) A-F on Saturday,16th march 2012. Mr. Anil Sachdeva, Vice Chairman of the school was the honourable chief guest of the function. The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by motivational speech of Mr. Anil Sachdeva and Head of the School Mrs. Novita Chopra, wherein they congratulated the young graduates and their parents. The theme of the programme was ‘We Are the World’, where the toddlers took the parents to a world tour by giving them glimpses of different parts of the world.
The programme begins with the beautiful ‘Arabian Dance’ followed by ‘Disney’, ‘Chinese’, ‘Hawaian’ and ‘Japnese Dance’. The toddlers of junior classes displayed their flair in dance and music. ‘Fashion Show’ from Europe proved to be a great entertainer, wherein the little ones danced to the beats of music and were dressed as Barbie, Supper Man, Hannah-Montana etc. They were appreciated by one and all.
After the finale, the young graduates, dressed up in their blue coloured graduation robes were facilitated by Mr. Anil Sachdeva, who gave away certificates to the young achievers. The young graduates displayed their success and happiness by throwing their caps high. It was a grand and glorious day for all!
15THMARCH 2013 - ASSEMBLY ON HOLI
Holi is the festival of colours which is celebrated with enthusiasm in the month of ‘Phalgun’. The students of class I performed an assembly on the theme ‘Holi’. They spoke about the importance of holi festival. Then they presented on beautiful dance performance on the holi song. They concluded the assembly by wishing ‘happy holi’ to one and all present in the assembly.
15TH MARCH 2013 - SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON HOLI
A Special Assembly was conducted on ‘Holi’ by students of classes III A and B.
To start the day on an auspicious note, Suhani and Kritik of class III-B greeted head of the school Mrs. Novita Chopra and respectable academic head Mrs. SumannaDutta with traditional ‘Tilak’. This was followed by a ‘speech’ by Vanshika of class III-B to enlighten us about the festival of Holi. After the speech, children of class III A and B presented a ‘play’ on Holi. In the play, children went on to give a message to everyone on playing ‘safe and healthy’ holi. The play was enjoyed by one and all. Followed by this, children presented a poem to grace the occasion which was appreciated by everyone. Last but not the least, children of classes III A and B presented a wonderful ‘dance’ performance which entertained and brought a smile on everyone’s face.
The assembly conveyed the festival mood ofHoli and was enjoyed by all.
8th March 2013 - Down the Memory Lane
“Memory is a diary that we all carry about with us”
The children of class Buds-D presented the assembly “Down the Memory Lane”. The children started with an enactment of how they behave on the first day. What all they learnt during the whole session including the academics as well as co-curricular activities. Balloons were released to mark the ending of a very fruitful session and enthusiastic beginning of a new session.
7TH MARCH 2013 - STORY BOOK READING COMPETITION
A book is a best friend, philosopher and guide. The students of Classes I A, B&C were given story books to read aloud and the students who performed extremely well were given the certificate of appreciation.

2nd March 2013 - Art of Living
“The life of inner peace, being harmonious and without stress, is the easiest type of existence”
In an endeavour to invest in “Everlasting smile and increased, optimism“, a workshop was conducted by ‘Art of Living’ organization for the teachers of SGS on Saturday, 2nd March 2013. It included the powerful breathing techniques and certain exercises for effective stress elimination. A true teacher should be free from anxiety and should be patient and cheerful to help the students cope-up with the hardships of everyday life. The workshop proved to be a de-stressing activity and dealt with the ways of recovery from stressful stimuli. It was a boon for the teachers as it left them peaceful and contented.
1st March 2013 - Healthy Body Healthy Mind
The Groundwork of all happiness is Health
The students of classes Buds-C, E presented an Assembly on Healthy habits. The assembly was initiated with a thought on keeping healthy. This was followed by students enacting on different rhymes on the theme. They also recited beautiful rhymes which focused on ways to follow a healthy routine and on the importance of healthy eating habits.
