11th August 2011 – Independence Day Celebrations

Thousands laid down their lives to free our country from British manacles. Freedom fighters earned our country’s independence with their blood. To pay homage to the sacred souls of the country’s freedom fighters our school celebrated the 65th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Chairman of the school Shri S. K. Sachdeva and members of Managing Committee Dr. R. C. Chadha, Dr. S. N. Maheshwari, Mrs Kiran Gambhir and Mr. Anil Sachdeva solemnized the occasion with their gracious presence. In his address, the Chairman praised India’s achievements in various fields. He encouraged students to take India to insurmountable heights through their hard work and dedication.

Patriotic fervour was at its best during the cultural program presented by the students. The girls of junior school sought God’s blessings by performing an enchanting ‘Lotus Dance’ which was followed by a spirited rendition of the song ‘Heal the World’ by the school choir.

Senior school students enacted a Nukkad Natak titled INQUALAB explaining the meaning of TRUE INDEPENDENCE stressing the fact that Indians would retain freedom only if they eschew the evils of society. This was followed by a breath holding dance performance on the patriotic song 'कन्धों से मिलते हैं कंधे...' The performance enthralled the onlookers as they clapped in appreciation! Students were praised for their flawless execution of stunts and emotional expressions. The program culminated with the release of tri colour balloons by the dignitaries.

Jai Hind!

5th August 2011 – Poem Composition Competition

There was a time when it was counted high
To be a patriot – whether by the zeal
Of peaceful labour for the country’s weal,
Or by the courage in her cause to die.
Robert Fuller Murray

It is rightly said by William Wordsworth “Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings”.

Students of Classes VI – VIII participated in Poetry Composition Competition. The theme was Patriotism which brings a nation out from the slumber of slavery and foreign rules.

Composing poems of patriotism forced them to think about the achievements of our nation, the problems faced by the nation and their solutions.

Poems composed by our young poets were filled with their pure feelings.
