SENSITIVITY TO GREENS

The students and teachers of Sachdeva Global School care for the environment and indulge in a
plethora of activities throughout the year to contribute in conserving nature and building a healthy
planet for all. Further, these activities that are organized throughout the academic year aids to sensitize
the students about various environmental issues, which also help them, arrive at pragmatic solutions
to address these issues through experiential learning.

Promoting Cleanliness
It is our right to live in clean and hygienic surroundings; with this view our students, joined hands with
Paramarthi (An NGO working on cleanliness of the city) to work towards cleaning and painting the walls of
a park near our school. This week long activity was jointly conducted with the volunteers from Paramarthi
along with students and teachers from our School. While Paramarthi volunteers worked at cleaning the
service lane adjoining our school, our students and teachers painted the walls of a park on this service lane.
While most people only work towards keeping their homes clean, our students through this social outreach
program spread the message-"Live clean and kept your surroundings clean".

In-House Automation to
save energy at SGS
The students of our school have
built an In-House Automation
which has been installed in many
classrooms. This system helps in
saving electricity when no one is in
the classroom. The lights and fans
automatically switch off within
2.5 to 3 minutes. Currently 24
classrooms have been automated.

Tree Plantation with Parmarthi and Axis Bank-
A plantation drive was carried out by the students of the Science and Environment club on 19 July as a
part of celebrating Van Mahotsav with an aim to spread awareness about the significance of plantation
to general public. The students and teachers planted saplings along the Master Plan Road Number 205
with the help of DDA, Axis Bank and Paramarthi, an NGO working on cleanliness of the city.
Students holding posters, banners and placards displaying pro-environment slogans urged the public
to plant trees and save environment. The students also pledged to take care of the planted saplings in
future and make the environment greener and healthy for all.
