Shivam Bajaj (2014-15)
Shivam Bajaj completed his degree in Journalism & Mass Communication
from G.D. Goenka University this year (2018). Ever since his school days,
Shivam was an avid writer and despite his hectic schedule and difficult
curriculum, he would always find time to pen his thoughts. While still in
school, he decided to be a blogger. He was determined to tread a different
path and instead of the regular career choices he chose to become a writer.
To his dis-belief, his parents stood by his decision and supported him, with
his mother motivating and helping him setup his blogging site. Today, three
years later, in addition to blogging, he also has a You-tube channel- “The Social
Trigger”, which he started while he was in the second year of his college. Despite the
challenges associate with treading a path less followed, he feels immense satisfaction
and pride at following his heart and not succumbing to pressure.

                                 Vedika Kaushik (2014-15)

Vedika decided to become a writer after completing her degree in Mass
Communication and Journalism from JIMS, Delhi. While still in school,
she realised her writing potential. For a student as brilliant as her, it
wasn’t an easy decision for her parents to let her embark upon a journey
peppered with hurdles and challenges. The erratic work hours, skewed
gender-ratio in media outlets along with the concern for female safety
were a few concerns shared by Vedika, as well as, her family. Undeterred by
these challenges, she decided to follow her dreams and is currently writing
freelance and has worked with The Hindu, BRICS India & other organisations.

              Bhupender Bhargava (2014-15)
Bhupender was always an astute sports person, but little did we know
then that one day he would make the whole nation proud. Coming from
a modest background and with little support from his eco-system,
Bhupender continued to pursue his dreams of becoming an International
Judo player. His hard work paid off this year as he won a silver in the
60 kg category in the South Asian Games held in 2018 in Nepal. For
Bhupender, Judo was more than just a hobby. Currently pursuing his M.
Com from the Merrut University, he is preparing himself for the upcoming
national and international events to be held in 2019.

                                 Ankush Asija (2014-15)

Ankush has always been a free-spirited student who loved dancing and
choreographing for school events. After Class XII, he shifted to Mumbai to
realize his long-cherished dream of becoming an actor and dancer. However,
five months of working part-time jobs and scouting for a role, he realized that
he needed more finances to make his dream come true. As a result, he returned
to Delhi and worked as a freelance choreographer for schools, corporate gigs
and weddings. Today, at the tender age of 2O years, he is the proud owner of a
dance studio and hopes to make it big in the entertainment industry someday.
