BOOK REVIEW SESSIONS

One of the most effective ways of promoting a conducive school culture is to nurture the habit of
reading, listening and critically analyzing ideas among both teachers and students. But busy home-
schedules and a demanding work atmosphere makes it very challenging for professionals to take out
time for this. In order to provide a conducive space for teachers to share ideas and imbibe the habit
of reading, the school conducts a ‘Book-Review Session’ every Saturday in the school library for a
couple of hours. Topics as diverse as xenophobia, patriarchy, sexism and ageism have been discussed,
brainstormed and debated in these sessions and participants are encouraged to present their own
personal interpretation of the key themes studied.
