Techniques for building a strong Parent - Teacher Relationship
Academic growth of the child is the joint effort of both the parents and teachers. The communication between both helps the child to grow in a civilized manner. They both are the main source of information regarding their child.
A variety of communication methods to build and sustain strong relationship with the school of the ward should be practiced by the parents.
- They should find time to meet school authorities during registration or before school begins. In addition to the admission work, parents should visit the child’s class also.
- Students' information sheets or diaries for basic information like name, address, contact number etc. should be carefully filled by the parents, so that they may be contacted by the school whenever required.
- Telephonic calls, diary notes and e-mails are other means to remain in touch with the school.
