Eating Habits
"To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently, is an Art" and if this art is adopted by every single child, he/she can lead an absolutely healthy life forever.
Inculcating good eating habits at an early age help the children in leading a happy and a healthy life throughout. Some of the few ways which can help parents in inculcating good eating habits in children are as follows:
- Change your own habits: It is best to start making gradual changes in your own eating habits. As you do, it will become your child's second nature as well.
- Balance between healthy and junk food: Everyone enjoys junk food at times. It does not have to be completely cut out of a child's diet but a balance between healthy food and junk food should be maintained.
- Encouragement to eat fresh fruits and vegetables: Fresh fruits and vegetables must be introduced in a child’s everyday meal and their importance must be emphasised.
- Drinking adequate amount of water: Water is the essence of life. It is necessary to keep the body hydrated and helps in body metabolism. On an average, a person must drink eight glasses of water everyday.
Don't take away your child's chance to eat healthy and stay fit throughout his/her life.
